Daisy Bone Obituary

Daisy Guy Bone -BUTLER - Graveside services for Daisy Guy Bone, 88, of Butler, will be held on Wednesday at 4:00 pm at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Bone passed away on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Flint River Community Hospital. She was devoted to her family and community and was member of First Baptist Church of Butler, was co-owner of Bone Building Supply and Construction and owned Bone Theatre for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin Guy and Lizzie Woodwall Guy, her husband of 59 years, J. E. (Gene) Bone, a son, James E "Jimmy" Bone, Jr., seven brothers, Albert Guy, Morris Guy, Junior Guy, Pete Guy, Jack Guy, Joe Guy and Melvin Pierce and two sisters, Irene Gaultney and Edith Barfield. -Survivors include her grandchildren, Gina Bone (Kelli) of Columbus, Michelle Pounds (Russell), Holly Scott (Craig) and Jeb Bone all of Butler; great-grandchildren, Erin and Jamie Kay Scott, Rus, Jake and Levi Pounds, Abbi, Jimmy, Kaileigh and Alex Bone; two sisters, Elizabeth English of Andersonville and Jane Sitcer of Warner Robins; brother-in-law, Willie Gaultney of Reynolds; four sisters-in-law, Sara Pierce of Andersonville, Dorothy Guy of Warner Robins, Ruby Guy of Butler and Joyce Guy of Manchester; numerous nieces and nephews. -In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, PO Box 391, Butler, GA or Taylor County Health Care, PO Box 2400, Butler, GA 31006 -Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. -Edwards-McLeighton Funeral Home of Butler is in charge of arrangements.
