David Hogarth Obituary

David John Hogarth
Savannah, GA- David John Hogarth, age 73, died Tuesday April 22, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital of a brain aneurysm. He was born on October 18, 1940 in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, Enland of parents, William and Marjorie Hogarth. David moved to Canada at the age of 6and at 18 he became an American citizen and joined the US Air Force. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sgt. and then worked for Raytheon until 1996. David was a very active member in the Loyal of Moose for over 40 years, earned his Fellowship Degree in 1982 and the Pilgrim Degree is 1993. He served as Past Governor, Past GMA President, Member of Moose International Loss Prevention Committee, and Secretary of Coastal Plains Moose Legion 128. He also had membership with three other Moose Lodges, Mason Lodge Tyrian 111, Scottish Rite, VFW, and American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, K. Hogarth of Savannah; four step-children, Robert Marlow (Karen) of Leesburg, FL, Richard Marlow of Punta Gorda, FL, Regina Hoke (Ernie) of Statesville, NC, and Roger Freeman of Stafford, VA; five grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Susan Hogarth-Eames of Faringdon, Oxfordshire, England.
The memorial service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Savannah Moose Lodge 1550, 2202 Norwood Ave, Savannah, GA 31406. This memorial service will include a Pilgrim Ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Moose Charities in memory of Dave Hogarth, 155 S. International Drive, Mooseheart, IL 60539.
