Macon, GA- Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11:00am at United Community Church. Survivors: husband, Robert Edwards, Lizella; sons, Terrance Lawhorn, Banger, MA, Dontavia Edwards, Lizella, Robert Edwards II and Travis Edwards, both of Richmond, VA; daughter, Jacqueline Edwards, Lizella; sisters, Odessa Sears, McRae, Earline Bolton, Atlanta, Genell McRae, Macon, Barbara McRae, Milan; 2 grandchildren. Family contact: 112 Gates Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to children; Jacqueline & Dontavia Edwards. Services entrusted to Bentley & Sons Funeral Home, Macon.

I was so sadden to hear about the passing of Doretha (Dodie). She was such a sweet person and always made sure she pleased me with every hair style that I requested. She was a great hair stylist. We had so much fun in the wee hours of the nights just trying different styles. I really am so sadden about such a beautiful person. She was a fantastic wife, mother and sister.
