Dustyn Archer Obituary
Macon, GA- Dustyn James Archer, 25, of Macon, Georgia, died October 12, 2016. He was born May 12, 1991 in Galveston, TX and lived in Macon, Georgia for the majority of his life.
He graduated from Middle Georgia State University with an associates degree in music. He had a passion and natural talent for music; loved to travel, experience and spread the love and healing of music. He was an advocate for equality, and helped many organizations attempting to achieve a better way of life for all. He was very loved and survived by his parents Randy Archer and Tracy Bridgeman-Archer and his siblings Kristyn, Michael, and Dana Archer. A memorial will be held at The Cox Capital Theatre, one of Dustyn's most loved venues, at 382 2nd St in the historical downtown Macon, GA; on October 20, 2016 at 3:30 pm. All of Dustyn's friends and family are invited. The family asks in lieu of flowers, for donations to be made to New Town Macon to continue the efforts of building the music and preserving the history of Macon.

Oh my dear friend, how I will miss you :'( We first met at WPGA-58 as fellow Master Control Operators with Michael Lamb and spent evenings sharing stories, watching Me-TV or chatting about college. Then, you were a fellow anchor with Kelley Wright Touhy, Andrew Hill and Amanda Kendrick on the MSC-TV News broadcast we produced weekly for several years. After college, you and I kept in touch as you told of all the music festivals you and your sister would attend or the places you would visit. The world seemed so vast and had so much promise. Music was your passion and in soul. To have you taken away from us at such a young age was a travesty.
The Music community lost an inspirational young man. You had dreams, a creative mind and artistic spirit. We all love you, Dustyn and hope you are at Peace, my friend.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dustyn's passing. I met him for just a brief moment in time and he impressed me with his kindness and gentleness of his soul. He will be missed and I'll always remember him.

I am so sorry...I knew Dustyn through my son, Skot Kendrick. I even remember vividly the last time he visited our home and I gave him a Cherokee headband. He was so sweet, thankful...And I pray for him as he was so precious that I know he is with Jesus. I cannot seem to get my mind off of him since Skot ... my own 25 yr old son ...is the same age. God be with you in your time of need. I am here and I care. Dustyn was one of a kind and I cannot imagine what you are going through. Much love..Betsy

I met Dustyn the first time he started working at the station. I always enjoyed talking to him. He was a very sweet and intelligent young man. We shared many laughs and stories. May God Bless You All in this time of sorrow.

Tracy, Kristyn, and Randy, my heart hurts for you guys. Dustyn is a wonderful person. His passing is truly a tragedy. Thinking back to the times I babysat and how little they were then and how much they have grown. Miss seeing him come into the office with his goofy grin and down to earth laid back easy going self. I cannot begin to totally understand the hurt your family is going thru, please know and try to take comfort in knowing that I'm keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers.
