Edna Beryl Flanagan

Edna Beryl Flanagan -MACON - Edna Beryl Flanagan passed away August 6, 2009. Funeral services will be held 2P.M. Sunday, August 9, 2009 in Lizella Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. -Miss Flanagan was born in Telfair County to the late Samuel Dean Flanagan and Willie Mattie Harbin Flanagan. Miss Beryl was a graduate of Mercer University in 1948, following her graduation, she went to the Baptist Seminary in Kentucky in 1952. She was very involved in missionary work in Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee, but her last 17 years of missionary work was done in Baltimore Maryland. She was a member of Lizella Baptist Church, and a former member of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church, where the WMU circle is named in her honor. Miss Beryl was preceded in death by her siblings Myrtle Sandifer, Mildred Underwood, George Flanagan, David Flanagan, and Billy Flanagan. -Miss Beryl is survived by her two brothers and their wives, Dudley (Frances) Flanagan of Barnesville, and Eschol (Linda) Flanagan of Macon; several nieces and nephews also survive. -Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Lizella Baptist Church Building Fund, 2950 S. Lizella Road, Lizella, GA 31052. -The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday evening at the funeral home, or may contacted at the residence, 6271 Clayts Circle, Macon, GA 31216. -Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of arrangements. Edna Flanagan
