I remember 'gym' at Miller and could never forget Elaine. She was indeed a special person who made our sports activities fun (even though we had to wear those starched blue gymsuits).

Sandra,
I would like to thank you for the opportinity that I had to take care of Ms. Denson. From the begining of Ms. Denson's failing health until her final moments as I was with her, she made me a stronger person. The special momories that I have of her will be forever treasured especially when she changed my name to "Baby Doll" and from that point that is all she knew! I pray that God will continue to bless you. We have lost our guardian angel but look toward the heavens because she will be watching over us. (And Making us laugh).Thank you for showing Ms. Denson the love that you did and taking care of her.
A loving care giver, Ms. Denson's Baby Doll/Bernita A. King

Ms. Elaine is my grandma's close fried and has been for over 40 years. When I was little she would always come and pick me up, and always had me a present when she saw me. Even on christmas, since she had no grandchildren. My sister and I would recieve presents from her! I am truly going to miss Ms. Elaine and going to the Nutcracker with her and her friends.

My sister and I remembered fondly of our days in the gym with Elaine. Those old blue gym suits had to be perfect and putting them into our lockers was a master feat, because they could not get wrinkled. My sister was so skinny, Elaine once tied a rope on her for fear the wind would pick her up with those blousy bloomer suits. Each year we had our backbones checked with red lipstick. Everyone just knew it was Elaines personal lipstick. We always wondered what she would do if someone had a crooked backbone. God bless her and all the memories of A.L. Miller Jr High.

I miss you Miss Elaine, may God rest your soul; you were truly a very special person in my life. I knew something wasn't quite right when I didn't see your snowmen outside on the porch. I love you always.

Elaine will always be remembered as our fun gym teacher at Miller High.
Her different colored gym shoes were
a topic of conversation by all of us who were required to wear the starched gym suits and white shoes.
She was a great teacher and terrific
person.

Elaine Denson was my gym teacher at A.L. Miller from 1955 to 1960. I remember those gym suits that must be starched and ironed for inspection at every class. Who could forget the girl's exibition at the stadium! Yes, aging and death are part of life, but thank God for the memories!

Miss Denson was my gym teacher at Miller High School in the late sixties. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She is the one I remember who made school fun. I will always be thankful for what she added to my life during those tumultuous teen years.
