Cochran, GA- Fred Wilson, 65, was born to the parentage of Martha and Farris Wilson and raised in the home of Emma and John Mallory.
He passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at his residence..
Fred was employed at Robin Air Force Base for 37 years and retired in 2018. Fred was also self-employed providing income tax and accounting services for many years,
He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Fred Wilson II of Eastman, GA; one daughter, Debra Anderson of Cochran GA; two sisters, Louise O'neal of Ocilla, GA and Dorothy Wilson of Cochran, GA; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two aunts, Sylemon Rozier and Arphia Graves and host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 12:00 P.M. at Bleckley County Middle School Gymnasium. Burial will be in the St. James Church Cemetery. The family may be contacted at 505 Mallory Road, Cochran, GA 31014.

To the Family of Fred Wilson - I would like to offer my Condolences and Sympathies concerning the passing of my Friend, Fred Wilson. I met Fred Wilson about 20 years ago while working at Robins Air Force Base we talked about a lot Contemporary Events and Cultural Things and how we as Black Folks could get it together in a manner that would best serve the whole needs of all People especially Black Folks. We also discussed Fred's Adventurous Travels all over these United States. Fred was a Traveling Man and he always made it to the Black Tie Affairs when he was in a strange city or State. Family , I just want to say I will miss this TRAVELING SOUL and that I am sending up prayers that the Lord of this Universe watch over his Family while experiencing this loss of a Great Person. Also would like to say that I just found out yesterday that My Friend, Fred Wilson had transition home while talking with another colleague of ours, Dunbar.

I just heard of Fred's passing. I am going to miss talking with him at the annual Blacks in Government conference where we met several years ago. Fred would always reach out to me to check on me. We found out we had a mutual friend at Warner Robbins. May you rest in peace my friend. My deepest condolences.

Praying for the family, Fred has been my tax advisor and friend for over 20 years. I just spoke with him on 16 Mar 19 at 11:00 am my time (Kuwaiti) and 4:00 am (his time). Who would have known that would be my last time talking with him. It just goes to show you that tomorrow is not promised. Mr. Fred wilson will truly be missed.

It was truly sad to learn of Fred Wilson's passing. Fred and I were part of the Middle Ga College Class of 1973. He visited me during a trip to San Antonio last year and we had a great time talking about the old days. Life is so short; we never known the time nor the place! To the family; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Wilson family and Fred's many friends. Rest in peace, my friend, rest in peace!
