Macon, Georgia - Gudrun Jona "Narny" Thorkelsdottir Keen, 88, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road. Dr. Mark Hudgins will officiate. Burial will be private in Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service with refreshments, and asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Circle of Care Thrift Shop in Forsyth Georgia.
Mrs. Keen was born in Reykjavik, Iceland the daughter of the late Maria Vilhjalmsdottir and Thorkell Jonsson. She was a homemaker and attended Ingleside Baptist Church. She had been a member of the Macon Junior League, the Federated Garden Clubs of Macon and the International Club.
Mrs. Keen is survived by her husband, Marshall Fulton Keen of Macon; children, Larry Keen (Kathy), Cynthia Keen Maxwell (Ronn), John Marshall Keen (Rhonda), and Margaret Keen Grubb (Matt); grandchildren, Caitlin Keen Greene (David), Larry Keen (Anli), Margaret Maxwell Feldman (Doug), Elizabeth "Lizzie" Keen, Jarrett Keen, Keli Grubb (Kaitlyn), Marshall Grubb, and Stephen Grubb; great-grandchildren, Laura Quinn Greene, Sylvia Feldman, Maxwell Feldman, and Layla Grubb; her sister, Hekla Thorkelsdottir and her brother, Vilhjálmur Thorkelsson.
