I know it´s so so many years later But I just found out Jackie had passed on to Heaven We met back inn1982 on the Cruise Ship Sail On To The Bahamas with the Imperials We also met his lovely Mom
We spent time visiting. We had such nice times. When Jackie was in Calgary with the Imperials in 1984 I believe. We met for dinner and my husband and I hosted Jackie over night in our home. Such a nice evening. We would talk long distance from time to time And I always enjoyed our conversations
You were an amazing talented passionate musician you loved your mom so very much and your dear friends and dear family and fellow musicians. So glad God brought you into our lives even if it was so briefly
Your genuineness and sincere friendship touched my heart and soul
Gone far to young

Dear Family of Jackie,

Jackie and I are a part of a little group that gathers periodically to just socialize and have fun. He was such a presence amongst our group. A quiet, soulful man, who gave the best hugs of anyone I know! I will miss those hugs. His spirit will always remain with our little group and somehow he will always be present when we gather, but oh how I will miss his hugs.

I am grateful to have had the chance to know him in some very small way and feel blessed that we crossed paths in our respective journeys.

To Jackie's Family: All of us are being moved by a gracious, caring and sensitive soul. Like so many others, I have fond memories of Jackie as a member of the Southwest High School Band and Jazz Band. It was an honor for us to accompany him, be blessed by his gifts, skills, talent and humanity. Jackie was a rare spirit and our lives are all the better because he came our way.

May God's comforting love and peace abide now and always. Amen.

It's a testimony to how much Jackie was loved by the Music Community of Nashville that it was impossible to find a parking place for the Memorial at Blackstone's today. He had a big heart and a big groove and was without a doubt one of the finest and kindest men I've ever met.-we all miss him!

I am going to miss my Uncle Jack very much. I am his oldest niece Tamara and I can remember all the times that we did see each other, it meant a lot to the both of us because he would always say that he couldn't over the fact that I wasn't a baby anymore! I Love you and will miss you dearly. Love Always, Tammy

Jackie was a Gift to our family - such a surprise that someone at his position in the Music World would share his time and energy to befriend our daughter in Nashville and encourage her to her dream. He called as he got through our area and we were amazed that he would take the time. Jackie stood tall in His Walk. May Our Lord hold your hearts close in comfort and love. We know you will have a large hole in your lives with his move on in to Eternity.

I only met Jackie Street once. In that meeting I could tell that he loved his family dearly and that he was passionate about his art. He was well respected and loved.

Jackie was one of the finest men I have ever known. We traveled together years ago. He earned my total respect for the integrity he carried with him. If I could describe Jackie in just a few words, it would be that...a man of integrity. My heart is broken because of this world's loss though I know he is celebrating and rocking out around the throne with his bass. Heaven just gained one incredible bass player.

Jackie was one of the most loved people I've ever met. His heart, talent, friendship and incredible sense of humor will be missed. He loved his family and his friends and I am blessed to have been in that circle. He will forever be in my heart.

We will all miss Jackie more than words can express. He was certainly the kindest, gentlest man I've ever known. He was my friend from the first day we met at the Eternity (music group) rehearsal camp in June of 1981, and my all time favorite bass player to perform and record with. It was always an honor for me when we worked together. My 3 children would always jump for joy (literally!) when Jackie came to visit or met us at a restaurant for lunch. He was family to me and my family, and the hole he leaves will only be filled when we meet again. Luv ya, JackMan.

Dear Family of Jackie,

You must know how much your Jackie meant to so many people. What a precious spirit he is. I can't tell you what a huge loss this is to me personally and COUNTLESS here in middle Tennessee alone, not to mention Macon and all the other folks he has left behind. I grieve this earthly loss and will miss him so very much. Although I never met you, I feel as if I should because of all the times he shared about you, showing me your pictures and talking about his dear family. Although I regret I won't be able to go to Macon for his funeral, I will definitely be in attendance at his memorial service in Nashville and I'd love nothing better than to meet Jackie's precious family. Jackie somehow maintained seemingly thousands of friendships through his sweet calls and text messages. The last phone message I received from him was a video of some beautiful fish swimming around in an aquarium!(Jan. 27). I met Jackie around 1986 or 87 and through moves and family changes, he steadfastly remained my friend. Thanks for sharing him with so many!!

A note from a South Dakota farm girl that Jackie helped direct to Belmont University. I will never forget him or his kindness. He not only guided me to the best college available to follow my dreams, but also befriended me and helped me find amazing roommates who are still my friends almost 20 years later. While in school, I worked full-time at Houston's and daily Jackie would grace us with his presence, laugh and smile. Jackie was a dear friend and would still call when passing thru SD to check on me. I am very sorry for your loss in a son, brother, uncle and friend. No doubt Nashville will miss him GREATLY, too! I am praying for God's hand of comfort for your family at this time. Melissa Molstad

To the family of Jackie, my prayers go out for you all doing this time of celebration. We know that God has made the final call and he knows what is best for us all. God allowed him to be a blessing to all he came contact with and that's what God was pleased with, so now we must take up where he left off and be a blessing to others. Be encouraged God is a great God that never makes a mistake. Amen!
