James Ronnie Cone, Sr.
September 4, 1939 - February 18, 2021
Macon, Georgia - Ronnie Cone, 81, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021. He was born in Greensboro, GA to the late John Valentine Cone and Annie Laura Harrison Cone. He graduated from Lanier High School in 1957. After High School he served 4 years in the United States Army. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 40 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Valentine Cone and Annie Laura Cone. Brothers; John Cone, Harry Cone, Joe Cone, Doug Cone, George Cone, Gus Cone, and Jack Cone. Great-grandson, Garrett Thomas Cone.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ida Kay Hobby Cone.
Children; Jake Cone (Dawn) of Bolingbroke, GA, Rhonda Cone Martin (Rick) of Midlothian, VA., Tracie Cone Gunnell of Macon, GA.
Grand-children; Ashley Cone (Levi), Wes Cone (Kasey), Ronny Cone Mclendon (Hunter), Kristen Martin, Michael Martin, Jill Martin, Taylor Harris (Kaitlin), Mitchell Harris. Great-grandchildren; Trystin Brummett, Collins Cone, Judd Mclendon, Dillenger Harris, Kaisen Harris and his dog, Sweetie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Rd. Macon, GA 31210.
Burial Will Be Private.
