Hey Daddy!
It's me again, just having a moment - wishing you were here to talk too, even though I know you will never be able to return...I always kinda wish you were here.

Anyway, Janetta has a chance to study abroad this summer in Paris, France! Can you believe that? Wow, who knew right! LOL Keep us lifted up while you do your praise thing with the Holy One! And give my regards to all our family and friends...Mudear, Granddaddy, Ike, Rev. & Mrs Mills, Mrs. Daisy, Mrs. Green, The Gordon's, Ms. Emma, Rev. Hukeba and Mrs. Elene, Elizabeth and Harold, Joyce, Estellvenia, and I know you really gave a good welcome to Rev. Fowler right!

"I so wish I had one more day to just sit and chat, but I know that time has passed away. However, the memories of your presence will never fade but instead - always treasured!"

For your birthday this year, I will establish a James Henry Hill Memorial Scholarship ($250 - $500) in your name whereby our family members/children and special friends/children may submit an application and commit to continuing their education. I think this will be a great birthday gift, so if you too agree, let me somehow know okay!?!

Janetta will be twenty this year, and I can't believe it!

I love Daddy...and wish you were here ...to meet Dash! I will tell you about him the next time!

Thanks for everything...forever
Love ya!

Hey Daddy,

So much time has gone by and still a part of me waits for you to come home from you trucking trips! :-) Oh how I wish...but...I also know the journey you embarked upon twelve years ago would never allow you to return.

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as you continue to praise HIM. I wish you all the best as you travel the heavens that God created and I continue seeking strength from HIM above.

I love you Daddy...still, no fooling!

Have a wonderful day

Always thinking about you!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

I celebrate and honor you again today because your spirit continues within me in a very special way!

I pray and sing in hopes that God hears my song...I'm sure he does since you are there to help them along.

Thank you Daddy for all you were scheduled to do on earth, the lessons learned and the tie that binds, has a lot of worth.

Thank you Lord for sharing an upright man with me, some may never know how true your "living word" can be!

Love ya...always

PS: Janetta is a 2014 DSA High School Graduate and is currently attending the University of Wisconsin Madison where she is in her freshman year now. I drove up a few times and its quite the far! I praise God for his arms of protection around her, a mindset of success with her studies, and enough financial aid so we do not need any loans right! :-)

March 16, 2014

Happy Birthday Daddy,

Much time continues to pass away, but never my thoughts of you!
Many hours continue to add up, but not compared to what I hold true to you.

Life has changed and still so much more to come. I am not sure if I am ready but I know I should at least try. I sure do miss you Daddy!

Hey Daddy,

Its been nine years now (4/1/12) and it feels like yesterday! You have been missing in action, but I know you acting in another position now.

Janetta will be sixteen this year and she is growing into a beautiful young lady. She started on a college tour today so my prayers are with her and the others. I am praying for their futures and for God's will to guide their paths. Wish you could be here to see her, but I feel that you are watching from where you are.

We all are doing as well as to be expected at this point in our lives..in spite of the ecomomy and condition of the world. So much is happening, and so much to look forward to. I still miss you Daddy and I thank God for every penny I have found...I found two today!

Love ya...always

PS:I became a five year Breast Cancer Survivor on March 23,and I am sooooooo THANKFUL! Tell everybody I said "Hello"

A Birthday Poem to you PaPa...3/16/12

As time passes on, I'll forget your smile.

I'll forget the way your warm, big hands held mine,

And the way you cradled my face in disbelief when I beat you in a clever game of checkers.

The words of this poem will fade away just like my memories of you,

That stomach dropping feeling won't affect me anymore,

Because I don't have your shoulders to sit on.

I wish I could be your little girl once again.

My heart will remember the warmth that passed between us,

But my mind will willingly forget.

So I'll etch these words into my membrane to commemorate a man,

Because you truly were one.

I'll lift up the praise of your name,

Be blessed by the flowing of your blood inside of me.

Go to Krispy Kreme in remembrance of you,

And patiently wait for the day to see you in paradise.

I'll pray that people will see the God in me, as I had in you.

I'll unknowingly search for a hug that measures up to yours,

Believe that the divinity in my being is not a mistake And strive to be just like you.

Happy 75th Birthday,
Grandpa.

I love you.

Rest in Paradise.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

I'm on time this year, Tuesday, March 16,2010!

I am sure that all is well with the Lord there! As for us, we are making the best of it each and everyday.

Birthday celebrations have been going on for the last week. Uncle Tom's (3/10) and Lil "T" (3/12), and now yours.

Please continue watching over us in our endeavors, because with all the issues we have here on earth earthquakes, wars, accidents, crashes, fires, birthday's, Healthcare, budget cuts, unemployment and etc, we need an oversee-er. So put in a good word for us my father, who art in heaven.

I still miss you much!

I love you Daddy and give my regards to HIM!

Amen...

Hey Daddy,

Whaz up! God has ushered in another year, 2010, for us to see and experience. I pray that I can follow-thru on all that HE has in store for me. I also initiated a Hill Family Conference call whereby we all can get together over the phone, via a website called Freeconference.com, and chat, talk and then pray. Its been really neat.

We spent the Christmas Holiday in Hilton Head, SC with the Daniels Family and had a wonderful time. I've always felt that its good to do something different sometimes, and for the first time, we went out of town for Christmas!

Little T, Uncle Tom and Ruby's grandson, is growing fast. Yolanda keeps the family up to date with clips that they send via Facebook.

Cheryl and the Treadwell men are doing well. Rosecella and her family are also doing great! Cella is writing plays at the church too! Speaking of which...Suleman and his wife Kristi joined the church last year! Praise the lord for answered prayer.

Also your granddaugher is growing up to be quite a young lady. Wish you were physically here to see for yourself, but under the circumstances, its best that you stay where you are...right! :-)

Put in a good shout out to the Lord for all of us today, as we in turn, continue in HIS work and in HIS way.

I love ya Daddy...and give my regards to "HIM"

Amen...

Hi Daddy,

Happy Belated 72nd Birthday Daddy! (March 16...)

Just wanted to update you on what's been happening here! We have our 1st Black President of the United States of America now. His name is Barack Obama! And boy, does he have a lot of issues to deal with as President!

Also, last week Thursday, Ruby and Uncle Tom became Grandparents! Yes Tommy and his wife, had a little baby boy and his name is Thomas also. He is not a Jr. though, because his middle name is different.

Mama bought another vehicle in January - a 2008 Equinox. Its quite nice (but you know how Mama is right!) I will have to take a picture of it sometime.

Brigitte is doing well....she and I are looking for jobs so keep putting in a good word for us and all the other millions of people down here! Things have CHANGED so much Daddy!

I also want you to know that Janetta will be 13 this year...April 18! I can't believe I will have a teenager daughter soon! On June 9 - Jun 25, she will be traveling to CHINA with a group called People to People. We have a fundraising website...www.ibeleeve.com! (Let me know if you want to make a donation ;-)

Well I know you are busy and may not get a chance to read this anyway...but I did want to touch basis with you. And still....miss you lots!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY....

Happy Birthday Daddy,

And I was thinking of you today - wishing you were here, to still guide and talk with me along the way.

Happy Birthday Daddy,

I think of you even more today - because without your birth on this earth, I would have nothing to say :-)

Happy Birthday Daddy,

Although I know you are quite well - I really can't wait to see you, and share all I have to tell.

Happy Birthday Daddy,

May God's blessings continue with you - I know heaven is a special place, and one day I will see for myself, all there is to do!

Happy Birthday Daddy,

Until we meet again, I know who to look more to now - you know, Jesus, because HE is our best friend.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

I know you are enjoying your day - and I too will do my best, as God guides me along the "March 16th 2005" pathway.

Happy Birthday to you - Daddy!!!

January 1, 2005

Happy New Year Daddy....we made it to 2005!!! Wish you were here personally to share it with us, but I understand why you are not.

Anyway...take care and put in some kind words for us to prosper more in doing the work of the Lord this year; in challenging ourselves this year; in helping others more this year; and becoming a better child of the King this year.

"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord...Amen"

Merry (after) Christmas Daddy!!!

And we all had a good time over to Mudear's - everyone except Tommy was able to make it home this year. I am sure that Granddaddy, Mudear, Ike, and you are having and even more wonderful time - since you all are actually with the Lord and we, here on earth, are waiting for him to return. Well, I guess it won't be long huh? :-) Anyway, you take care and ask the Lord to continue blessing us while you are away...I love you Daddy...

So many words, but not enough room to write them all down.

So much love, but not as much on earth, as it is in heaven.

So many times I think about you and want to say "Thank You".

Thank you for giving me life, for with it, you showed me your way of living.

Thank you for showing me strength, because seeing yours, helped me to know my own.

Thank you for your leadership, because without it, I would not know what it takes to be a follower.

Thank you for being a man of good character, because without it, you wouldn't have been able to have taught me.

But most of all, Thank you Daddy, for being a man of God, because without him, you could not have lived a life of service - to God, your family, and mankind.

Again, I say, Thank you Daddy, for the lessons during life you showed to me, and now for the lessons after life, I come to know each day.

Happy Father's Day... I certainly do love you....still - (your baby-girl)
