Macon, Georgia - Joseph M. "Beau" Kitchens, 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 13, 2021. A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Northminster Presbyterian Church. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Ralph Hawkins and Rev. Billy Harris officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the Church. The Church request that everyone in attendance please wear a mask. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Loaves & Fishes Ministry of Macon, 651 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Macon, GA 31201 or Macon Area of Habitat for Humanity

Beau was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Myrtle Wood Kitchens and Bradley Buford Kitchens and was preceded in death by brothers; Wayne Kitchens, Bubber Kitchens, and sister, Lavenia Fowler. Beau was a graduate of Mercer University. After working for several years in Mingledorff's home office in Atlanta, he became the HVAC territory manager of SW Georgia. Before his untimely death due to COVID 19, Beau was the Marketing and Ancillary Product Manager of the same territory. He served Mingledorff's with distinction for forty-nine years. Beau was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder, deacon, served on numerous committees, and was the chairman of the property committee. He was also a member of the ASHRAE Society and a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and an avid exerciser. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Beau is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gwendolyn B. Kitchens of Macon; son, Rollie J. Kitchens (Donna Carole) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother, Ronny Kitchens (Martha) of Macon; grandchildren; Abbey Hynes (Cody) of Charleston, SC, Zach Kitchens (Victoria) of Moncks Corner, SC, and Nathan Kitchens of Central, SC; great-granddaughter, Emery Kitchens; great-grandson, Finn Hynes to be born in November and a host of nieces and nephews.
