St. Augustine, Florida - Juanita Shores Adams, 88. died Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at St. Augustine Health and Rehab Center. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 1:00PM at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road in Macon. Rev. Paul Chapman will officiate.
Born in Opelika, Alabama, to the late A. M. and Jimmie Nell Sands Shores, Mrs. Adams was a member of the Methodist faith. She retired from F. W. Woolworth Company, and had worked at the Methodist Children's Home in Macon and Georgia Academy for the Blind.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Louis B. Adams Sr; brother and sisters; Mary Nell Moye of Augusta, Nora Brannon of Fort Valley, Johnny Shores (Rosie) of Macon, and Gloria Allred of Appling; step-son, Louis B. Adams Jr., (Martha) of St. Augustine, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews; and other family members. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Willingham; sister, Dorothy Haddock; and brother, Thomas Lee Shores.
Rooks Funeral Home in Byron is in charge of arrangements.
