Judith Parker Obituary
July 4, 1942 - February 22, 2017
Macon, GA- Judith R. Parker, 74, faithful servant of the Lord, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Ingleside Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. Family will greet friends following the service in Fellowship Hall. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery.
Judy was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Harold E. and Verna Rheinberger. She graduated from Wabeno High School in Wabeno, Wisconsin and attended the University of South Florida. She was co-founder of Caring Companions, Inc. As a Christ follower, Judy attended Ingleside Baptist Church and enjoyed singing with her husband and friends in the Ingleside Baptist Choir. She was a member of Wesleyan Woods Garden Club and an ardent supporter of the Advocacy Resource Center. Known as "Mimi", she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren at their lake house, cooking for them, and attending their various activities. Her life was exemplified by love of her family and a deep faith in God.
Judy is predeceased by her parents and her sister-in-law, Connie Moor. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Carl Hugh Parker, III of Macon; four children, Greg Parker (Robin), Cheri Shurling (Frank), Sally Parker all of Macon, and Susan Lack (Hunter) of Eatonton; twelve grandchildren, Harrison Parker, Hayes Parker, Holden Parker, Ally Parker, Rawson Ridley, Ryan Ridley, Christie Sovie (Robbie), Nick Shurling, Harley Anne Shurling, Parker Lack, Payton Lack, and Sydney Lack; three great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Rob, and Layla Sovie; sister, Cheryl Jackson of Houston, Texas; brothers-in-law, Richard Parker (Martha) of Roswell, Georgia, Ken Parker (Barrie) of St. Simons Island, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ingleside Baptist Church, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon, Georgia 31210, or The Advocacy Resource Center, 4664 Sheraton Drive, Macon, Georgia 31210. The family wishes to express gratitude to Judy's faithful caregivers, Mary King and Sandra Murrin, and Pine Pointe Hospice.
