LaVerne Binkley Obituary
7/25/1924 - 11/23/2013
Butler, GA- Graveside services for LaVerne Green Binkley, 89, of Butler, will be held on Sunday at 4:30 pm at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Binkley passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, the Rupert Homemakers Club, Mid Georgia Gem and Mineral Society and the Butler Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Binkley and a brother, Harris Green.
Survivors include her children, Steven H. Binkley (Stephanie) of Rayle, GA, John A. Binkley (Cindy) of Franklin, NC, James H. Binkley (Hazel) of Butler and Susan B. Hargrove (Phil) of Butler; a brother, Robert Green (Carol) of Ocala, FL; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 to 4 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Gideon's International, PO Box 1034, Thomaston, GA 30286.

Laverne was a very special person. I loved her very much. She and I enjoyed traveling together and she was a real blessing to me. We all miss her very much, but know that we will see her again in Heaven.
