Funeral services for Ray Aguilar, age 49 of Frederick were scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel.
Mr. Aguilar passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Memorial Nursing Center in Frederick.
Burial was scheduled to be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery.
A gathering for family and friends was scheduled from 6-8 p.m. April 16, 2017 at the funeral home.
He was born Aug. 6, 1967, in Fargo, Texas, to Demetrio Aguilar Sr. and Reyes Pena Aguilar.
Ray attended Frederick schools. He was a welder and a truck driver, which was his passion.
Ray lived in Frederick, Waterville, Kan., and Mangum. He loved his Texas Longhorns and Washington Redskins. He enjoyed "driving truck" and meeting people while traveling. He had a very big heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Demetrio Aguilar Sr. and Reyes Pena Aguilar; and two sisters, Mary Castillo and Rachel Aguilar.
Survivors include his two sons, Ray Demetrio Aguilar of Beatrice, Neb. and Gabriel Aguilar, of Waterville; three brothers, Demetrio Aguilar Jr. of Oklahoma City, Lorenzo Aguilar and wife Hope of Frederick, and Joe Adam Aguilar of Frederick; five sisters, Raynelda Castaneda of Mangum and husband Javier, Corine Cerda and husband Eliseo of Jamay, Mexico, Pauline Garcia of Burlington, Iowa, Anita Barrett of Mangum, and Eva Espinoza and husband Willie of Frederick; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise found in 1 Thessalonians 4 : 14 can bring some comfort. Knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
