Margaret Hudson Chew, affectionately known as "Cookie" by those who knew her best, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Piedmont Macon. Homegoing Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2023 at Hutchings Funeral Home with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The Reverend Levornia Franklin will officiate. Viewing will be prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2023.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. Charlie Hudson and the late Vinnia Hudson.

Ms. Cookie, words cannot express how much you are missed... You were one of our Mommies Dearest and Best friends... We will forever keep you in our hearts... Our fondest memories of you... One being of you and Mommie a.k.a. Velma Taylor, laughing and talking about your years, as majorettes for Ballard Hudson, the infamous (Clydesdales)... and how you were always constant in our lives... I recall my son and nephews remarks, when they met Ms. Chew, at Alexander II, "She's just like Sweetie, a.k.a. Velma "... Thanks for taking them under your wings, nurturing and guiding them, making their experiences there unforgettable... Our last conversation was enlightening, although you were telling Mommie and I, our earthly time with you was ending, you never stopped laughing and sending Love... May your Heavenly home, be as Beautiful and as Wonderful as you were... We Love You Forever and One... Velma Taylor and Family...

I have known Cookie and Carolyn since 1955. Carolyn and I were in the same homeroom in the 8th grade. I am sorry to hear about Cookies' death.
