Bonaire, GA- Margot Hildegard Knapik, 71, entered into rest on Monday, September 22, 2014 and received her wings.
Margot was born on November 30, 1942 in Schwetzingen, Germany to the late Karl Lederer and the late Emmi Werner Krystians. She owned and operated High Ridge Marina in Port Sulphur, Louisiana with her husband, Mike for twenty-five years. After retiring from the marina business, Margot devoted herself to time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, painting and gardening.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving and devoted husband of forty-six years, Michael Knapik of Bonaire; children, Robin Zemaitis (Walter) of Bonaire and Ricky Knapik (Tracy) of Decatur, Illinois; and grandchildren, Alyson, Ashlee and Cameron Knapik and Joshua, Rebekah, Rachell and Railynn Zemaitis.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home in Decatur, Illinois.

My deepest sympathy to the Knapik family. I have fond memories while in High School with Robin, we would go to her house to go swimming and her mom would always welcome us with open arms. May you always cherish the wonderful memories spent as a family and know your " Mom Angel" will always be looking out for you.
