To the Kimbro Family ,
Sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Kimbro. She was an amazing teacher and I often thought about her. She was my teacher at Unionville Elementary School. She was so sweet and caring. Thank you for sharing her with us. May God continue to give each of you strength during this time as well as the days ahead.

I knew Marcie at Southwestern, where she and her roommate lived across the hall from me and my roommate, Mary Darwin. Marcie was cute, witty, and fun. I remember borrowing her biology class notes prior to an exam. In those days, the segregated (by sex) dormitories were where we young girls laughed, talked, dreamed, compared hopes and experiences on our way to becoming young women. It was a very special time for all of us. I remember one experience when one of us had a bad cold and sore throat and Marcie telling us that her Dad (whom I believe was a Presbyterian minister), always gave her a teaspoon of honey laced with brandy to soothe a sore throat. We were a little shocked, but all laughed and remembering the story now reminds me of what a delightful person she was. I am sorry for your loss. Marcie was a fine, funny, and caring person. I'm sure you must miss her dearly. Camille (Crenshaw) Monohan

Went to Bossier High School in Bossier City, LA with Marcie. She was a good person, smart and friendly and pretty. Sounds like she was right with our Lord and is in a wonderful place now.

Sweet, gentle Marcie. How much you meant to our group since high school... the memories we all share and laugh about to this day. Years could go by but when we got together it was as if no time at all had passed. I thank God for your sweet spirit.

John and Family,
What a sweet sweet spirit Mrs Kimbro had while on this earth. I enjoyed getting to know her and our talks together. The mere mention of your name John, and she lit up like a light bulb. Praying for your family.

She would definitely light up a room with her smile. First saw her in a canary yellow blouse and she told me she enjoyed bright colors and living life to its fullest having dealt with previous health issues. She was a joy to know and I will miss her.

I taught school at John W.Burke with Mrs.Kimbro. She was so kind to me as a new teacher and I still have the pot holders she made to match my china at my wedding shower given by the Burke staff. Good memory..... So sorry for your loss. Jill Sawyer Walsh

FAMILY OF MARCIE KIMBRO--
A note to express our sympathy over the passing of your beloved Marcie. It was our pleasure to know both Marcie & John during our days at Macon College...John even had a special hamburger named after him (Kimbro King) and Marcie was a devoted faculty wife involved with a wide variety of campus activities.
Both of these family members will be dearly missed by their many friends thru-out the Macon/Middle GA community.
Please know both Marcie and John made this a better place for all who knew these dear family members.
Sincerely,
Charlie (& Linda) Cloaninger

Mrs.Kimbro will truly be missed. I looked forward to seeing her each time Dave and I would come to take care of her lawn. I looked forward to Mrs. Kimbro inviting me to go to her church when there would be a dinner/singing/fellowship evening. I did not have the pleasure of knowing her husband. I remember Dave saying that Mrs. Kimbro husband asked Dave would he keeping cutting the grass for Mrs. Kimbro for as long as she wanted him too. He told Dave if you ever see a snake in the yard don't tell Marcie she will not come out. When Dave sent the obituary today it created a whole in my heart. Mrs. Kimbro was not just our customer she was our friend. Love Nell and Dave.
