Martha Searcy Obituary

Dr. Martha Condray Searcy -MOBILE, AL - Dr. Martha Condray Searcy died Wednesday, August 15, 2007. Graveside services will be held at 2P.M., Tuesday, August 21, 2007 in Forsyth City Cemetery. Lt. Col. Edgar Dickens will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside services at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. -Dr. Searcy, the daughter of the late Albert Harris Searcy and Martha Louise Condray Searcy, was born in Forsyth, Georgia, on August 6, 1932. She received her Ph.D. from Tulane University. Dr. Searcy was a historian. -Survivors include her husband, Bill Dickens, Col. (Ret.) of Mobile, Alabama. -In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mobile Ballet, Inc., 4351 Downtowner Loop North, Mobile, Alabama 36609, or to the Animal Rescue Foundation, P.O. Box 50065, Mobile, Alabama 36605. -Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
