Michael Becker Obituary
Fort Lauderdale, FL- Michael Becker died Dec. 16th near his home in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. at the age of 59. He will be remembered for his irresistible charm, mischievous sense of humor and his passion for music. He insisted that for music to be good, it had to have soul.
The son of a Navy Chief Petty Officer, Michael was born in Portsmouth, Va. and lived in numerous towns along the Eastern seaboard before settling in the suburbs of Philadelphia as a teenager. In the mid-70's Michael moved to Macon, Ga., where he began a long career in the music business. He toured extensively as road manager for the rock band, Grinderswitch. He later moved to Atlanta, where he continued working in local music venues and on tours with many well known acts.
In 1981, Michael married Margaret Zimmer and fathered a son, Brandon. The marriage ended in divorce. He is survived by his son, Brandon Becker and grandchildren, Aaliyah, Malik and Layla; his parents William and Kate Becker, sister Joanne Youmans and brother David Becker.

My sincere condolences to the family of Mike, an old friend from my Kenrick. The obit was so right, Mike was a charmer and so sweet & fun to be around. Have lots of good memories with him in school. I will miss him.
