I miss you so much it hurts. I feel so lucky to have had you as a best friend-sister for over 19 years. Nivea was such a sweet person. She always greeted me with a smile and "Good morning Ms Terry", if it's been awhile since we'd seen each other I would get a hug. I miss her terribly but I can be thankful that God allowed me to know her for a season. My prayers are with the family because she was truly a "jewel" to treasure.

I have known Nivea for a long time. I knew when she came in everyday that I would see those pretty white teeth smiling at me. I know she is walking with our Lord now and watching out for all of her family and friends. Nivea was beautiful inside and out. We will always miss you! I miss you so much...even the little, silly stuff. One minute I laugh remembering you snoring while I was sitting next to you scared stiff inside the theatre watching a scary movie. Then the smallest thing becomes such a bittersweet reminder of how much we'd gone through over the years. All the silly, little stuff becomes another thing to miss. The way you dressed and loved your high heels, the jokes about how much we loved food, the messiness, the conversations about life/men, your beautiful writings, you rubbing those feet together without realizing, me being fascinated with your hairstyles, and of course you asking about what adventures Miles was up to that day. So many things. I hope you can see how much you are loved by all of us and how dear you were (and still are). I will wear high heels and eye makeup more often just to keep you laughing up there. Thank you for the laughs, tears and friendship. I'll miss you, friend.

No words can express the hurt I felt when I learned of your untimely death my friend. At times you were like a sister to me, we laughed, cried, and prayed together. I met Nivea while working at TAMSCO and became friends ever since then. Nivea was an angel then and she will forever live in my heart as the angel she always was. I will miss her laughter. I will miss her beautiful smile. Although saddened by her departure from this world, I find comfort knowing that she is resting free from hurt and free from pain, in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
