Phil loved his family and especially the children. He took many hours of delight in talking and playing with them. He was a devout Christian man, whose favorite past- time was to read and study his Bible. During his illness, he welcomed any opportunity to discuss the Bible and recite the many verses he knew by heart. Phil was a carpenter, builder and maintenance man by trade, but that didn't limit his abilities to master other trades. He was a uniquely excellent mechanic. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. Phil was a member of Wheeler Heights Baptist Church.
Phil is predeceased by his father, L.B. (Bubba) Kitchens and brothers Leonard "Len" Bradley Kitchens, Jr. and Gary Wood Kitchens.
