My heart felt sympathy and condolences to the Raines family. I to am a product of Unionville Baptist Church of many years ago and have very fond memories of Mrs.Raines and all of the family. I also attended school with several of her children and of course church participatory activities. May God be with you all.

To the Family of Ms Rebecca,
My prayers are with you in your loss. I grew up in the Unionville neigborhood and my mother and Ms Rebecca were on the Mother Board at the old Unionville Baptist Church on PioNono Ave and were good Christian friends for several years. I was a young girl, going to church with my Mom, and I remember Ms Rebecca to be a sweet motherly lady to all. She always had a calm about her. I have an incident I want to share with you. As she got older, she would still love to dress very neat and one day I had on a set of red pearl beads (imitation) and she said it would match her outfit and asked me if she could have them. I said ok and took them off my neck and gave to her. I would always think about Ms. Rebecca whenever I would wear something that those beads would have gone with. I only smiled and thought she wanted them and are enjoying wearing them. May you all find comfort in knowing that Ms Rebecca is resting in Christ now.

I love you Big Mama. Thank you and Granddaddy for helping to raise me and taking my brothers and sisters and I to church ALL THE TIME. You have truly been a blessing to us. I hope and pray that I will have the strength and tenacity that you so strongly possessed. Please tell my MAMA that we are doing everything we can to raise her great grandchildren with the morals and values that she instilled in us. Rest in Peace. From your granddaughter Rebecca, great grandaughter Covea, and great great grandchildren Calaiya and Camden.
