Macon, GA- Rena Mae Hunt Walton passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Coliseum Hospital. Services are 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 15 at Union Baptist Church, 1137 Kitchens Street, Macon, GA. The Reverend Allen Walker, Sr. is officiating. Burial will follow at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens.
Born on April 16, 1938, Mrs. Walton was the daughter of the late Robert Hunt, Sr. and the late Vinnie Green Hunt.
Survivors include a devoted husband, Mr. Edward M. Walton, Jr.; loving children, Veronica (Willie) McPherson, Montgomery, AL, Felecia A. Lucas, Edward E. (Rhonda) Walton, III, Cassius M. Walton (Felicia Tukes), Valeria Y. Slaughter, John F. (Wendy) Walton, I, Carla F. (Rev. Freddie, Jr.) Mack, Aubrey J. (Tamika) Walton, I; thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sister, Ponnell (Otha) Smith; brothers, Virgil Hunt and Milton Hunt; aunt, Mammie Stewart, all of Macon, GA; a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and a devoted caregiver, Candy Murphy.

My Dear friend Ed and Walton family, I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Ed I have missed you over the years deeply since we worked at the postal service. Your mom raised a very loving and strong willed Man. Deepest sympathy to the Walton Family on the passing of Mrs. Rena. I remember her from years ago when she attended the day facility (Senior Alternative Health Care) where my Mom worked (Ann Alexander). She was a joy and always said she was "waiting on her ride to go home". Mrs. Rena has now received her permanent ride home. She was loved by her family and was well taken care of. God Bless you All!
