Biloxi, Mississippi - Dr. Robert Wallace Campbell, 69, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Southeast Georgia Health System - Brunswick Campus.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Dr. Bob was born April 6, 1956, at Fort McPherson U.S. Army Base Hospital, to John Wallace Campbell and Georgia Ann Merritt Campbell. Coming from Pineville, LA, he had lived in Biloxi, MS, for the past 23 years, and very recently began relocation to St. Simons Island.

Dr. Bob was a graduate of Emory University and Wake Forest University School of Medicine - Bowman Gray Center for Medical Education, with Post Graduate Studies and Fellowship at St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Bob was an avid reader and cross-worder and recently began to enjoy gardening.

Survivors include his husband of 31 years, Bob Oliver, their beloved Corgi's, Hank and Tadgh, his favorite sister-in-law, Debra Oliver, and cousins, Mary Lynn Watkins, Judy Canerdy, Jan Chism, and Cliff Merritt. He was preceded in death by his mother, his father, and his stepmother, Marilyn Blanton Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributons are requested to any local Food Pantry or Local animal shelter.

Chapman Funeral Chapel & Crematory of Brunswick, Ga., has been entrusted with the arrangements.
