To the Morrow Family - Coach Morrow impacted a lot of athletes and students at Perry High School. As a basketball player, his coaching discipline was an inspiration for me to do well both on and off the court. I appreciate those life lessons. He is difinitely a coaching legend.
God is the only Comforter during this time of loss.

In 1963, Coach Morrow was my Dublin High School Junior Varsity football coach. He taught me to never give up and the meaning of one of his favorite expressions in practice and in our games...."Root hog or die!" He inspired me to become a better football player and a better man. Coach Morrow and your family are in my prayers....God Bless....

Sue, Cindy, Hoke, and Mary,
I surely was both shocked and saddened when Hoke called Sunday morning to tell me Coach Morrow had died. Along with a great number of other coaches, I will always have many fond memories of the times we shared together on and off the field or court. He surely left a great legacy for his family to follow. Hoke, his special laugh is part of the legacy that you have had down for many years already. May the many memories you have of him always be in your heart and mind. May God's peace be with every member of your family.

Coach Morrow was my 9th grade basketball coach at DHS. He was tough but he loved us and he taught us to persevere. The phrase "when the going gets tough the tough get going" was one that he used often and I have never forgotten. I used it often with my children and then with my coaching cheerleaders. Bob and Sue were in Dublin when Cindy was born and then when they were in Perry and Hoke was born we were still close. Meri came along later and I haven't the chance to meet her but I have heard a lot about her. I talked to Coach Morrow and Sue about 2 years ago while they were both still in Winder. He sounded just like he always had, so full of life and laughter even though he had some physical problems. I loved this man completely and he is the reason basketball meant more to me in high school than anything else. He instilled in me the desire to be better. That is a gift not everyone possesses but your dad truly did.

Coach Morrow was my Home room teacher in the 7th grade in Dublin Georgia. He is one of the ones I clearly remember. At first I was a little afraid of him because he was so big and blustery. But I learned he had a good heart and a sense of humor.

Hoke, I can't tell you how shocked I was today to learn of 'Coach' Morrow's passing, affer we had talked on Friday. I guess you know that I held nobody in higher esteem that your dad. He was my broadcast partner for all those years doing high school football and basketball, and I really cherish those memories. I know that he is in good hands now, and I trust that you, Sue, Cindy, Meri and your families can draw on the stregth and faith your dad showed over the years. I think it was the late broadcaster Keith Jackson who coined a phrase that fits Bob to a 'T' when he said 'He was a good'un'
