Macon, Georgia - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mother Ruby M. Ross-Davis. She went to be with her Lord and Savior after recent health complications the morning of Friday, November 5, 2021 at the age of 92. She was born on January 3, 1929 to the late Horace "Bub" McElmurray & Mary McElmurray of Lizella, Georgia. She was educated in Bibb County Public Schools. She resided in Chattanooga, Tennessee for most of her life until recently moving back to Macon, Georgia to be under the care of her sister. She worked and retired from Tennessee Poultry plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee where she served as an inspector. She was a faithful member and Church Mother at Olivet Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee and St. James A.M.E. Church in Macon, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace "Bub" McElmurray & Mary McElmurray; brother, Frank McElmurray; first husband, Reverend Earnest Ross; second husband, William E. Davis both of Chattanooga Tennessee; step-children, Aaron Ross, Earnest James Ross & Willie James Ross all of Chattanooga, Tennessee. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home located at 3275 Pio Nono Avenue, Macon, Georgia. Interment Services will follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Dante Rome will officiate. She leaves to cherish her memories, her sister, Margaree (Charles, Sr.) Daniely; nephew, Charles (Dionne) Daniely, Jr.; great- nephews, Miles & Ryan Daniely; step-daughter, Susie (Thomas) McClarty of Chattanooga, TN and a host of other relatives and friends. Public viewing will be held today, Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Funeral Home. The family request all flowers be sent to the Funeral Home. We request everyone to please wear a face mask and follow CDC guidelines. Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Services has charge of the arrangement.

My deepest and sincere condolences to the Daniely Family. Mrs. Ruby has been like a precious jewel at the St. James A.M.E. Church from the first time I met her. I took a liking to her so much that I stopped calling her Mrs. Ruby and switched to Aunt Ruby, and I don't think she care at all. Every Sunday that I had the opportunity, I would walk with her from the car to inside the church. Aunt Ruby was always sweet and kind to everyone. Every summer, trust and believe I would get a big bag of plums from her plum tree. Thanks Aunt Ruby! I will love and cherish our conversations and your love and kindness for the rest of my life. Take your rest, and I promise to see you on the other side in Heaven. I love you.
