Thank you, Woody, for taking a chance on offering an assistantship to a young liberal arts college graduate in 1959. That launched me on a career studying families as food consumers, an M. S. in ag econ and a Ph. D. in sociology. God bless you and your family.

My father, Tom Mills, was also a member of the '44 Kings [you can see there story at http://savingprivatemills.blogspot.com/]. They remained friends for life. Sherwood was courageous, kind and SDSU's greatest advocate. God bless Sherwood and the '44 Kings - true American heros.
