Woodbridge, Virginia - A celebration of life for Shirley is 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 21, 2025, at Lizzie Chapel Baptist Church, 1180 Bartlett Street, Macon, Georgia 31204. Reverend Ronald G. Toney will Officiate and deliver the Eulogy.
Public Viewing: 10 A.M. – 7:00 P.M., November 20, 2025, at Hicks & Sons Mortuary, 2233 Anthony Road, Macon, GA. Interment: 1:00 P.M., November 25, 2025, at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia.
Shirley is cherished by all who knew her, and answered to many loving names - Momma, Mom, Grandma, Nana, Aunt Shirl Ann, Auntie, sister, and friend. She had a gentle spirit and fondness for butterflies and turtles, symbols of transformation and resilience.
She leaves to honor her loving memories: her children, Robert A. Gary (Mary), Teresa D. Palmer (Robert) and Bobbie Gary DeLeon; five grandchildren: Jerrell Gary, Megan Rogers, Kayla Gary, Nicolas DeLeon, and Jordan DeLeon; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gift donations in honor of Shirley Gary.
