Warner Robins, Georgia - Steve William Burch passed away on October 26, 2023 at 5:00AM in the morning at The Lodge in Warner Robins, Georgia peacefully. He was in palliative Hospice Care there and in last stage of Congestive Heart Failure. He was a beloved father, grandfather and friend. He is the son of the late Annie Lee Burch and William A. Burch of Chauncey, Georgia. He is survived by his son Steve Burch (Maria) of Warner Robins; and daughter, Ruby Bush (Blake) of Lake Wales, Florida. Also, are his beloved grandsons, Emmanuel and Victor Burch.
He is described as a "pillar of faith" and "source of strength" by his daughter. He was a ray of light in every life he touched. He loved life to the fullest and was the embodiment of unconditional love. His joy was contagious and he could definitely make you laugh. He loved God first, his family, fishing, playing guitar in pocket harp, and singing/praising God.
He was a very strong person and believer in hard work. He was a retiree of Standard Candy Co after working25 years. He was good with his hands and didn't let limitations slow him down. He was permanently blind, but never let that stop him living life to the fullest.
In his final years, he made his home in Warner Robins, GA with his son and watching his grandchildren grow. He was known as a father figure to many not just his children. He was an inspiration to everyone he met. He is a true example of "With God All things are possible."
A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 1, 1:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Following the service, Mr. Burch will be laid to rest in the Bonaire Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Tuesday, October 31 from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at the funeral home. Rev. Sterling Averett will officiate.
