Tracey Holcomb Obituary

Tracey Lynn Holcomb -GRAY - Tracey Lynn Holcomb, 38, of Dye Road, died Saturday, March 24, 2007 at her residence. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Monday at Bridges Funeral Home in Gray. Funeral services will be held 3P.M., Tuesday, March 27, 2007, graveside in Culloden Cemetery in Culloden. Rev. Gary Thomas will officiate. -Mrs. Holcomb was born May 17, 1968, in Macon and had lived in Gray for the past six years. She was a graduate of Crawford County High School, a homemaker and a member of Elam Baptist Church where she attended the Young Adults Sunday School Class. -Mrs. Holcomb is survived by her husband, Robbie Holcomb of Gray; daughter, Haley Holcomb of Gray; son, Hunter Holcomb of Gray; step-daughters, Lacy Holcomb and Rebecca Holcomb, both of Gray; mother and step-father, Sonja and Mike Mitchell of Macon. sister, Kim Lockman of Crawford County; and by her brothers, Luke Mitchell of Crawford County and Laney Mitchell of Macon. -The family may be contacted at the residence at 284 Dye Road in Gray. -Bridges Funeral Home in Gray has charge of arrangements.

Tracey had been a freind of mine since 1987. We worked together at Sears for a few years and then continued on and off to keep touch with one another over the years. We were both blessed with beautiful little girls on the same day (Jan 17, 1997) and God brought us back together once again, last year when we ran into each other at "our" oncologist office both receiving chemotheraphy. My heart is very saddened at the loss of Tracey but very joyful for heavens gain. I had spoke with Tracey on and off thru out the last few months, and knew she was such a fighter,a loving mother to two precious children as well as a loving wife to a dedicated husband. I am so thankful that I had the priviledge of knowing Tracey for the past 20 years. May God be with you in the following days and know someday you will will meet again.
