Lord knows how hard this is for everyone but with God we are making it through , the first person I met when I got to high school the person who pretty much showed me the ropes of things. We were chorus members but more than that the chorus has always been a family!! And you were the big brother who held us together, never forget even after you graduated you always did pop up visits just to surprise us. Man I'm gone miss my Nard!!! I know Vernard Mays through my granddaughter. He always came by the house with a smile on his face happy to see us. He always called me his other grandmother and I felt delighted to be. He was a very strong young man and he will forever be missed! R.I.P Vernard Mays!!

Vernard, you will truly be missed from your warm, loving, humble spirit to your beautiful, angelic voice! You were always there to lend a helping hand whether it was to your family, coworkers, or even a stranger. I am so sorry for your loss. Vernard was a very sweet and kind young man. He always had a smile on his face. It seems surreal. I know there is very little anyone can do to ease the pain of someone who meant so very much to a lot of people. Today another angel was called home. He was truly an angel here on earth.
