Lizella, GA- William Philip Ivey, 80, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Macon Touchdown Club, P.O. Box 7946, Macon GA 31209.
Philip was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Richard P. and Ida Hartley Ivey. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Lynn Ivey. Philip was self-employed farmer and was a member of Lizella Baptist Church. He was a member of the Gold Wing Riders Association and Macon Touchdown Club. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his wife, Norma "Pat" Ivey of Lizella, three sons, Chuck (Elizabeth) Ivey of Aiken SC, Terry (Gail) Ivey of Gray, Phil (Ellie) Ivey of Macon, grandchildren, Chelsea Ivey, Hunter Ivey, Mat Ivey, Ashly Posey and Kara Rawls, five great grandchildren, sister, Rose (Clyde) Turner of Macon and several nieces and nephews.

We used buy hay from Mr. Ivey a few years ago. Come to find out he knew my daddy from way back and would always ask and talk about him when we came over. He was a super nice man and we always enjoyed sitting down and talking with him. We regret not going and seeing him in the last year or so. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers for Mr. Ivey and to the family.

I have so many wonderful memories of PI! My daddy, Harley Bowers adored him. They had so much fun at the Macon TD Club. PI always invited daddy and I to his yearly dove shoots, which were so much fun! He will be missed. Much love to the family.
