William L. "Billy" Roberts Sr.

William L. Roberts -BYRON - William L. "Billy" Roberts, Sr. passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2004 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 2P.M in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. -Visitation is Saturday, September 11, 2004 from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. -Mr. Roberts was retired after more than 36 years of employment with Armstrong World Industries. He was a member of Cathedral of Christ Baptist Church. -Survivors are his wife, Stella D. Roberts; two children, William L. "Lee" (Linda) Roberts, Jr. of Macon, Stephanie Denise (David) Dixon of Crawford County and daughter-in-law, Deborah (Dave) Gifford of Murfreesboro, TN. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Christopher Lee Roberts of Macon, Lisa Marie (Rory) Corneliusen of Murfreesboro, TN, Dakota S. Dixon and Sierra A. Dixon of Crawford County; two step-grandchildren also survive him: David Dixon and Eddie A. Dixon of Crawford County. He is survived by several nephews and nieces and his beloved pet, "Sassie." Mr. Roberts is predeceased by his parents, James and Lillie Roberts, a brother, James L. Roberts and two sisters, Shirley Ann Castleberry and Lillie Mae Railey. -The family may be contacted at his residence. -Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. William L.
