Allison Mooney Obituary

Allison (Brown) Mooney, age 65, passed away on June 18, 2024 after a brief illness. Allison was born to Robert and Ruth Brown in Cavalier, ND on January 21, 1959.

Allison grew up in Cavalier, ND and graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in business. It was there that she met Jim Mooney and they were married on November 21, 1981. They moved to Madison, Wisconsin in the early 1990s. She worked for Dean Health System where she became the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Allison took great pride in her accomplishments as she progressed through various roles in the healthcare field. Following the passing of her husband Jim, she moved to St. Louis and continued to advance in her career until she retired. Upon retirement, Allison moved to her lake house in Minocqua, Wisconsin where she would eventually meet Peter Reschlein. After Allison and Peter married in 2021, they found joy and excitement in an adventurous move to St James City, FL.

Allison found great joy in planning and preparing incredible meals - the kitchen was her happy place. She mastered a wide range of cuisines and found inspiration from her travels around the world. While hosting numerous parties for family and friends, Allison's cooking was always the centerpiece and left a lasting impact. Another place Allison found peace was on David Lake, where she kayaked with the loons, basked in the sun, and fished with friends and family - all while blasting rock music. We will all continue to honor her in doing the things she loved most.

Allison is survived by her husband Peter Reschlein, daughter Kaitlin Mooney, son Robert Mooney (Alicia), granddaughter Harlow Mooney, sister Janet Hartz (Gary), brothers Jim Brown and David Brown (Sheryl) and her lifelong friend Colette Carlson Nordstrom. Sisters-in-laws Pam Marquard (Wayne), Kim Kenner, and Janean Reschlein (Daniel). She was also a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jim.

All who knew her will be blessed forever by her joyful, generous, and loving spirit. Allison brought love and happiness to everyone she encountered and she will be greatly missed.

There will be a private celebration and family gathering in Wisconsin at a later date.

I worked with Allison both at DHP and DMC and she was such a lovely, friendly woman. No matter how busy she was, she always took the time to say hello to all and treated everyone with respect. My thoughts and prayers are with her husband and family.
