I´ll always fondly remember traveling around New Zealand together with you and Elaine laughing all the way. And I loved performing the Triplets of Bellview with you, Andrea. Miss you and your spark.

I would like to introduce myself as I am an old friend of Andrea. My name is Betty Patterson Lewis and I am originally from Roanoke ,VA. Andrea and I met when we shared a room in stewardess school. Yes, she was an orange girl and I was a blue but we shared a warm friendship. We moved to Alexandria, VA with United and shared an apartment with two other stewardesses. We took a trip to Puerto Rico together and she help me pick out lace for my wedding dress in St. Thomas. She caught the bouquet at my wedding. I was thinking of her last week as I have done many times over the years. We lost contact after Tom died and I didnt know how to get in touch with her. I thought I would just type in her maiden name and the notice of her passing came up immediately. I am so sorry for your loss. We shared many good times. She was a true friend.

When Andrea announced she had decided to go to college at Oakland University, we couldn't believe it! Oakland was just "born" as a subsidiary of Michigan State University. It was so like my dear friend Andrea to go her own way and do her own thing. I will always admire her strength and her independence. Love you, Andrea!

We knew Andrea in her role as a social worker at UW when our daughter was being treated for leukemia. Andrea was a tremendous support to us and we remember her kind words, her extra attention to our daughter´s sibling and especially her smile and wonderful sense of humor, which was so appreciated during those difficult times. We occasionally saw Andrea in the following years at the hospital (where we also worked) or in the community and she always asked about our children (now both in theirs 30s!). Andrea was a gem and we feel lucky to have known her. Our hearts go out to all her family and friends during this difficult time as she will be greatly missed.

Some of my favorite memories of Andrea included visits to sister and my good friend, Elaine, with whom she always laughed delightedly. On one of many visits to Alaska she and I and Susan and Elaine performed a hysterical dance routine to the music of the Triplets of Belleville, dressed as old hags in the "Everyone's a Star" talent show. It was a hoot.
On another occasion Andrea, Elaine and Chuck joined my husband Tom and me on a road trip around the South Island of New Zealand and the two sisters laughed all the way. This was also when Chuck was ill with brain cancer. I saw what a comfort Andrea was to Chuck by being open and responding honestly and compassionately during a time of great discomfort and emotional upheaval.
Andrea was a very special woman. I am so happy to have known her. I wish all her family peace remembering her many positive attributes and their shared experiences with her.

I danced with Andrea at Chelse´s wedding, and again at Renee´s wedding. This is how I will remember her always.
