Bailey Thomas Andes
Jan. 24, 1995 - Sept. 18, 2023
MADISON - Bailey Thomas Andes, age 28, passed away on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, at UW-Hospital and Clinics. He was born Jan. 24, 1995, in Madison, the beloved son of David and Kathryn (Everett) Andes.
Bailey graduated from Madison West High School in 2013, and Edgewood College in 2021. He served at the Ronald McDonald House Charities-Madison, focusing on data analysis projects. Having faced many medical challenges over the course of his lifetime, Bailey fully embraced service to families in their time of need.
Bailey held many interests: playing piano, enjoying nearly all genres of music and movies, working puzzles (1,000 piece minimum), reading, road trips, "hanging out" at the Union, walking along the Lake Shore Path, building intricate Lego sets, and riding rollercoasters… the faster the better! Above all, Bailey loved to spend time with others, especially his family. From Bailey's vantage point: an ordinary day became extraordinary when surrounded by family. From our family's vantage point: time spent with Bailey infused us with joy and laughter. In his day to day life, Bailey demonstrated his faith in God by caring for and loving others. His willingness to keep a smile on his face while pushing through hard things inspires all who knew him to be better. Bailey will forever be cherished by his family.
He is survived by his parents, David and Kathy; his three siblings, who love him through and through; sisters, Riley Andes and Maisy Andes; brother, Brody Andes; grandmother, Billie Everett; grandparents, Tom and Janet Andes; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dale Everett; and great-grandmother, Judith Andes.
Our family sincerely thanks all of the amazing physicians and medical staff at UW-Madison Hospital and Clinics for the years of outstanding care you provided Bailey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at MEMORIAL UNION-GREAT HALL, 800 Langdon St., Madison, at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023. Reception to follow from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. All are welcome.
