MADISON - Beth Ann Van Den Langenberg, age 62, of Madison, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, at UW Hospital and Clinics.
A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Beth was my NP for years, and she is still my favorite care provider. When I was in middle school, someone from my care team recommended her, and it was a match made in heaven. She was amazing at helping me transition away from my parents, towards more independent care, and navigating growing up with T1D. Last week, a coworker and I were comparing endocrinology stories and I mentioned Beth and how wonderful she was. I still haven't found anyone who even comes close to her, and I doubt I ever will. She had a tremendous impact on my life and I am so grateful to have known her. She is the only medical professional I have ever sought out for a hug, and I will never forget her care and warmth. Thank you for everything.

Beth was my daughter's diabetes angel! Beth & my daughter connected when she was an adolescent, as I was starting to step back at her appointments (she was diagnosed at age 2) and let her start taking the lead. She had a very nice endocrinologist, but I could see that she would pretty much just say what she knew the doc wanted to hear. When she connected with Beth, everything changed ... my daughter would be honest -- tell Beth what she was willing and not willing to do/try. The two of them had a wonderful relationship, based on great medical advice, humor and teasing, and a frank discussion about what the 'must do's' and 'may do's' were. As a mom, it was scary to step back and let my daughter take more control over her diabetes care, but once I watched the two of them together, I knew that she had a great ally and task-master in her world. My family will never forget the kind, patient, and knowledgeable care Beth gave our daughter. Beth saw our daughter through her teenage years, with all of the attendant complications it causes a diabetic young lady. Beth was a stellar pediatric diabetes CPNP who helped to develop the healthy, confident T1D 29-year-old our daughter is today. God speed, Beth.
