Carole Lynn Buchsteiner

February 8, 1940 - September 14, 2025

Carole Lynn Buchsteiner, age 85, of Richland Center, formerly of Reedsburg and Madison, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025. She was born on February 8, 1940, in Reedsburg, the daughter of John W. and Bessie (Gardner) Buchsteiner.

Carole was a very kind, loving and sociable person who found joy in connecting with others. She loved downhill skiing, traveling, and dancing. She also enjoyed spending time with her dinner group and attending services at St. John Lutheran Church in Madison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bonnie Hardy; and brothers: Edward, Donald and Richard Buchsteiner.

She is survived by her long-time partner, Ron LaReau, his children and grandchildren, as well as her nephew Bobby Hardy, other nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends who will remember her lovingly.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Pastor Kris Totzke officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

Memorials of remembrance may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 322 E. Washington Avenue, Madison, WI 53703.

The Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, is assisting the family.
