Jourdan, Chad Edward
SUN PRAIRIE - Chad Edward Jourdan, age 41, went to be with the Lord for some much needed peace on Friday, May 14, 2021, at his home in Sun Prairie. He was born on May 5, 1980, in Madison, and was the son of Hubert "Herb" and Elaine (Aldrich) Jourdan. When Chad was born, he was named after Elvis Presley's character Chad in the movie Blue Hawaii, and Eddie Van Halen. In his younger years he played little league as a pitcher and made the all-star team. He played baseball in high school and was on the track team. He played racquetball and was in many tournaments and won several. He would go to Green Bay and golf in tournaments with his dad. Chad was an avid sports fan, with the Brewers being his favorite. He was also in dart league and loved playing trivia. Chad loved children and dogs; they seemed to gravitate to him. He was also a little league coach for his son, Wesley. Chad was music, his true passion. He could "hear" and feel music differently than most. Music became part of his soul and who he was. Mötley Crüe, Van Halen, Queen and The Doors were his favorites.
He received a degree in welding and worked at Stoughton Trailers. He was presently working at G.E. Healthcare and was a proud brother of the IAM Union.
Chad was very proud of his Oneida Nation Native American heritage. After he passed, he was given his native name: Latlihwattókha?, meaning, He is Smart. Pronunciation: lud lee what doke.
Chad had a very strong faith in the Lord.
He is survived by his three children, Hayley, Wesley, and Antonio; his mother, Elaine; brother, Todd (Linda); sisters, Melanie and Sheila (Sherri Wirth); nephews, Christopher, Taran and Coady; a niece, Shianne; his best friend, Brian "Whitey" Whitebird; and his son, Wesley. He was preceded in death by his father.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26 at SACRED HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 229 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, with Father Thomas Kelley presiding. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m., until the time of Mass Wednesday at the church. A celebration of life will follow at the Keg in Token Creek/DeForest. Entombment will be held at Allouez Catholic Cemetery in Green Bay on Thursday at 1 p.m.
