COTTAGE GROVE - Charles G. Schwoerer, age 86, passed away on June 17, 2025, with his family by his side.
Charles is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lois (Clemens) Schwoerer; children, Lori (Mike) Grob of Cottage Grove and their children, Matthew, Thomas and Andrew; Kim (Jon) Grob of Deerfield and their children, Travis and Natalie; and Brian (Jessica) Schwoerer of Cottage Grove and their children, Kolton, Remi and Haisley; siblings, Don (Barb D.) Schwoerer, LuAnn Esser, Ben (Lynn) Schwoerer and MaryAnn Evans; sisters-in-law, Barb J. Schwoerer, Jane Schwoerer, Charlene Tolmie and Karen (Duane) Kitzerow; brothers-in-law, Don (Dawn) Clemens, Jim (Jeanette) Schwarzhoff and Duane (MaryJane) Clemens; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred and Cletus Schwoerer; brothers-in-law, Donald Esser, Stan and Darrell Clemens and Don Tolmie; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Schwarzhoff.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 434 N. Main St., Cottage Grove, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, with Father Mark Foley and Father Michael Tarigopula presiding. Burial will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery in Cottage Grove. Visitation will be held at the church from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, and also from 10 a.m. to the time of the Mass on Wednesday.
