David "Dave" Feuling
March 22, 1950 - June 9, 2022
SUN PRAIRIE - David "Dave" Feuling, age 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 9, 2022, surrounded by his loving family after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Madison on March 22, 1950, the son of Paul and Henrietta Feuling. Dave graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1968. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War, earning several honors during his service. Dave returned to Sun Prairie and joined the family concrete construction business.
On September 24, 1977, he married the love of his life, Marilyn Tjugum. Together they enjoyed traveling, spending time at their family home up north in Three Lakes (Wisconsin), attending Badger football games, and spending time with family and friends. Dave and Marilyn worked together to grow their family business for 35-years. Dave truly enjoyed working and the relationships he created with contractors and employees.
In his free time, he loved watching football, especially the Badgers and Packers, golfing, hunting, and, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
Dave is survived by his wife of 45-years, Marilyn; daughter, Shana and son-in-law, Bryan, who was also his business partner and best friend; two grandchildren: Ella and Cole; siblings: Pauletta (Mark), Jane (Bruce), Debra, Brian (Sandy), and Jean (Steve); many nieces and nephews; including his nephew, Joe, who was very special to Dave; in-laws, Delano and Leona; brothers-in-law: Steve (Sue), Jeff, Doug (Laurel); and sisters-in-law: Diane (Dan), Laurie, Julie (Tom).
He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert the Great Drive, Sun Prairie, with Monsignor Donn Heiar officiating. Private entombment will take place in Sun Prairie Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may greet the family from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at church on Thursday.
Memorials may be made to UW Carbone Cancer Center, Agrace Hospice Care Inc., or Wounded Warrior Project.
A special thank you to the exceptional staff of Agrace for their care, and to Msgr. Donn Heiar for his continuous love and support. Please share your memories of Dave by posting on his Tribute Wall at: www.CressFuneralService.com.
