Duane Anderson Obituary

Duane L. (Andy) Anderson, a Christian, went to his Lord and Savior on August 23, 2024. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin on May 21,1929 to Russell and Ellen Anderson. He was baptized in his grandparents farmhouse in the town of Berry on June 30, 1929. He was confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church in Madison on June 6, 1943. He graduated from Madison West High School in 1947 and attended Madison Business College. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1950 to 1953. He was married to Marcia A. Webber on September 8, 1956 in St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Middleton. He managed National Food stores in Madison for many years and then was employed by University Housing until his retirement in 1990. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia. They were married 65 years.

He is survived by his daughters Vicki and Valerie, his son (name withheld by request), and grandson Benjamin. At a future date, celebration of life will be held at Lakeview Lutheran Church, 4001 Mandrake Road, Madison.
