Eberhard Karl Wolfgang Schubert
June 13, 1951 - June 30, 2022
MCFARLAND/BLANCHARDVILLE- Eberhard Karl Wolfgang Schubert, age 71, died unexpectedly at SSM St. Mary's ER on June 30, 2022.
Born June 13, 1951, in Esperke, West Germany, Eb married his American wife Jan on October 2, 1971, and lived in West Berlin for three years before Eb immigrated to the US in 1974. He became a naturalized citizen in 1987. After obtaining his G.E.D., he graduated from the University of Michigan, then completed a Masters Degree from the University of Illinois.
Eb worked for several years as an administrator for the University of Wisconsin, Madison and finished his career as Director of Space Management at the University of N. Carolina, Greensboro before retiring to his Wisconsin farm in 2010.
Eb is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jan (Basom) Schubert; and two sons: Barton and Dietrich Schubert; daughter-in-law, Katie (Duckwitz) Schubert; grandson, Patrick.
