Ellie Butchart Obituary

Ellie Mae Butchart

February 10, 2025 - February 12, 2025

POYNETTE - Ellie Mae Butchart passed in the arms of her loving parents on February 12, 2025. She was born on February 10, 2025, at 2:29 p.m. 1 lb., 1.6 oz. in Madison, Wis., at Meriter Hospital. After coming into this world at 24 weeks due to twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) complications, she passed gently into the arms of Jesus. During her short time here on Earth she was loved deeply by her family and friends.

Ellie is survived by her identical twin sister, Mckenzie Kay Butchart. She is the daughter of Nicholas and Abigail Butchart of Poynette, Wis. She is the granddaughter of David and Linda Moore of Huntley, Ill., and David and Diane Butchart of Hubertus, Wis. She is the great-granddaughter of Charlotte Sandberg of Grantsburg, Wis. She is the niece of Andrew Moore of Huntley, Ill., and Michael Butchart of Pewaukee, Wis. She and her sister are the answer to many prayers to grow the Butchart family.

A memorial service for immediate family only will be held at DOOR CREEK CHURCH, 6602 Dominion Drive, Madison, at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ellie's memory to University of Wisconsin Foundation's Fetal Surgery Center Fund 112580511 (supportuw.org/giveto/FSC) to support local research for the treatment of fetal complications like twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome.
