Diane and family,
We are saddened to hear of Ferd´s passing. I am sorry but Sharon and I will not be at the memorial service for Ferd this Saturday. We send our condolences to you and your family.
Being next door to your drug store for years, I got to know Ferd quite well and consider him to be a friend. He was always friendly with his quick smile and sense of humor.
He introduced my family to Mitzi´s Cottages and to Mitzi. Mitzi was a special lady. The times our family spent at the cottages is a highlight of our children´s growing up. We still talk about those summers spent on Sand Lake.
I know we are not to judge people. At times I do. I judge people by deciding if I would like to live next door to them, and would I like them to play on my team? Ferd would fill both spots without a doubt.
