Gregory Stuart Syvrud

July 6, 1962 - July 26, 2022

WINDSOR - Gregory Stuart Syvrud, age 60, of Windsor, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at UW Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on July 6, 1962, in Madison, Wis., the son of Lee and Phyllis (Prescott) Syvrud. He was united in marriage to Vicki Horge on Oct. 22, 1983.

Greg enjoyed classic cars, playing pool, camping, hanging out in the "poor man's hot tub" and spending time with family and friends up on the sand bars of the Wisconsin River. As a "Mr. Fix-it," Greg also loved woodworking and making things for his loved ones.

Greg is survived by wife, Vicki; daughters, Melissa (Matt) Thompson and Sarah (John) Brummel; grandchildren, Dustin Syvrud, Bradley Wruck, and Sammy and Abby Thompson; his parents, Lee and Phyllis; and brother, Ronald Syvrud. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Lee Syvrud.

A Celebration of Greg's Life will be held at VFW POST 1318, 2740 Ski Lane, Madison, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022.

The family wishes to thank the staff of UW Hospital for all their wonderful care and support given to Greg and his family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
