Jeanette Pfeil
August 5, 1944 - May 7, 2024
WAUNAKEE - Jeanette Pfeil, 79, of Waunakee, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
Jeanette was born in Richland Center, WI, on August 5, 1944, to Selma (Young) and Glen Waddell. She married the love of her life, Dennis Pfeil, on September 5, 1964. She was married to Denny for 42-plus loving years and never stopped loving or being married to Denny after his untimely death in 2007.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Denny; son, Todd; two sisters: Barbara Stanhope and Marian Leece; mother and father-in-law, Helen and Cliff Pfeil, brother-in-law, John Jones; niece, Sarah Waddell; and nephew, Jason Pfeil.
Jeanette graduated from Baraboo High School in 1962. She worked at both the Wisconsin Eye Bank and UW Hospital & Clinics throughout her life. Her highest priority was to be the best mom possible to her sons Todd and Tim. She was an active volunteer throughout her life, especially focused on helping senior citizens. She received her degree and certification as a massage therapist specializing in senior citizen care and avidly utilized her skills to help heal others. She participated in countless vigils and visits, served as a Eucharistic Minister throughout south central Wisconsin for the Diocese of Madison, and was involved with the Meals on Wheels program for many years. Jeanette made her home in the Waunakee area for more than forty-eight years. She loved the Catholic Faith, her grandchildren, time with family, cooking, baking, anything related to massage therapy, and bird watching.
Jeanette is survived by her son, Tim (Darci) Pfeil of Lodi, WI; a daughter-in-law, Kelly Pfeil of Madison, WI; grandchildren: Lauren Pfeil (Kolten Kittleson) of Honolulu, HI, Isabelle Pfeil of Denver, CO, Noah (Sydni) Pfeil of Lodi, WI, Clare Pfeil of Denver, CO; and a great-grandchild, Scout Pfeil of Lodi, WI.
