OREGON - June Olson, age 88, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Nov. 22, 2021. She was born on June 19, 1933, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of John and Harriet (Watland) Millard. June graduated from Madison East High School in 1951. She married Harold "Gene" Olson on Nov. 1, 1952, in Madison.

June was a dedicated housewife. She enjoyed attending truck shows with her husband, Gene, and was a member of the American Truck Historical Society. In her earlier years, she modeled clothing for Harry S. Manchester and helped look after her two grandchildren.

June is survived by her husband, Harold "Gene"; son, Steven E. Olson; daughter, Sandra J. Olson; granddaughter, Steffanie (Hans-Paul) Walker; grandson, Curtis Taylor; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, John Millard; mother, Harriet Millard; brother, Duane Millard; and sister, Donna Millard.

A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
